AD, founded in 1981, is run by two Londoners: Victoria Thornton and Ken Allinson. He is an architect, author of two recent books (four editions of Guide to London’s Contemporary Architecture, and London’s Architects and Architecture, both for Elsevier), and she is an Honoury fellow of the RIBA who founded and runs London Open House. What they share is an enthusiasm for being on the pavement and experiencing all that London has to offer, getting doors open and making introductions to London’s architects, engineers, urbanists, developers and building managers. AD cater’s for all kinds of groups, from one person to 150, and provides business-to-business services suited to particular interests, only using architects or architectural historians as guides. Visitors to London can come to us knowing they will get inside knowledge, experience and enthusiasm.

Led by selected architects in English.
