The highlights of contemporary architecture in Prague are closely connected with the democratic efforts of opening the urban space to the public. The tour takes us to the university campus in the heart of a residential district that was set up in the 1920´s. Today, new grand scale public buildings fullfill the original idea of an open city. Not far away, we can explore one of Europe´s biggest complex of castle gardens. Two outstanding czech democratic leaders, T.G. Masaryk and Vaclav Havel, opened these gardens to the public.
