Neukölln: Rethinking the city: Annika Eheim (Thumbnail)
Annika Eheim
Berlin

Annikas passion for communicating building culture has been with her since her first week studying architecture in Weimar, where she specialised in monument preservation and modern architectural history. Annika then joined the education team at the Biennale di Venezia and worked in architectural education at the Neue Nationalgalerie. Annika has been with Ticket B since 2015. She mainly designs and organises our guided tours in Berlin. She is particularly interested in the buildings of the International Building Exhibition in Kreuzberg, Berlin brutalism and urban planning perspectives on her old home of Neukölln. She has ensured that Schillerkiez and the Kindl Brewery, John Hejduk and a hidden concrete church are now also part of the Ticket B repertoire.

Kora Johanns
Berlin

Before Kora returned to her hometown Berlin and specialised as an architect in residential and timber construction, she worked for Jean Nouvel in Barcelona. She then switched from planning to architectural communication and, with her talent for languages and organisation, is perfectly suited to her role at Ticket-B headquarters. She has been part of the team since 2016 and is primarily responsible for our architecture travels. This allows her to fully indulge her her passion for travelling, which is also her great passion in her private life! Kora loves to lead tours and trips on the topic of sustainability and lets groups discover the ‘Lichtenberg south coast’ along Rummelsburger Bucht – because that is her home base.

Thomas Krüger
Berlin

Thomas is the founder of Ticket B and brought the company into being 30 years ago. At the time, it was essentially a hobby alongside his architecture firm and his teaching position at the university. With Ticket B, he combines his tireless passion for explaining phenomena and reflecting on architecture. Anyone who spends time with Thomas in Berlin sees the city through his eyes in a whole new way. Thomas is a 100% mediator of built culture, communicating and dispatching brilliant concepts and a huge bouquet of ideas: he can pull a week-long specialist programme from his sleeve. And he is still gets nervous before every guided tour. A little bit at least.

Tour in Berlin:
Neukölln: Rethinking the city

Our new architectural tour through the Neukölln district in south-east Berlin starts in Schillerkiez and leads along Tempelhofer Feld and the new buildings on Hermannstraße to the former Kindl brewery site on Rollberg. Together with a foundation and various cooperatives, an impressive urban development project is being created there: the Vollgut site aims to make one of the large industrial wastelands in Neukölln available for social, creative and ecological uses in the long term and to secure it for this purpose. The CRCLR House is part of the site and is committed to circular construction: the project is dedicated to a sustainable construction process using ecological and recycled building materials. The architects are designing a project for different users who bring the theme of sustainability to the city.
