Tour in Augsburg:
New Projects around Augsburg

Projects emerging around Augsburg are redefining the relationship between research, work, housing, and culture, illustrating how the city is evolving into a place shaped by sustainable and future-oriented architecture. In the field of research, the Environmental Education Center Augsburg (UBZ) combines knowledge transfer with direct engagement with nature to promote sustainable action. The listed Bayernkolleg stands as a flagship project of contemporary educational architecture, successfully integrating refurbishment, heritage conservation, and modern learning concepts. In the Innovationspark in southern Augsburg, new work environments are taking shape, enabling flexible forms of working—such as the Weitblick Innovationscampus or the Innovationsbogen, a striking building that embodies dynamism and energy efficiency. In Sheridan Park to the west, housing cooperatives and building groups are creating outstanding residential models that prioritize community and sustainability. Cultural impulses are provided by the Gaswerk Musikbox as well as ecclesiastical buildings such as the Apostelin Junia Church and the Don Bosco Church—places where architecture shapes identity and atmosphere.
On our bus tours, a wide range of projects can be combined into an inspiring route that offers fascinating insights into the city’s contemporary development.
