Tour in Valparaíso:
Valparaíso: World Heritage in Motion

This tour explores the areas of Valparaíso designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for their unique topography, cultural diversity, and layered architectural heritage. We will walk through Cerro Concepción and Cerro Alegre, visiting emblematic places such as Paseo Gervasoni, Paseo Atkinson, and Paseo Yugoslavo, with panoramic views over the bay. Along the way, we will see the historic El Peral funicular and the iconic Baburizza Palace, as well as the new Museum of the Inmigrants—recently restored and rehabilitated in the former German high school—and other contemporary cultural projects that reflect the city’s ongoing revitalization.

After lunch, we will move to Cerro Cárcel, where the Parque Cultural de Valparaíso is located—an open, community-oriented cultural space housed in a former prison. Nearby, we’ll also visit DIN399, a collaborative workspace and innovation hub situated next to the historic Dissidents’ Cemetery.

This part of the tour highlights how Valparaíso reimagines its built environment through adaptive reuse, linking past and present in a dynamic and complex urban landscape.
