Belgrade

She studied architecture at the Technical University of Belgrade and worked on projects for the Office for the Protection of Monuments. As an Architect she specialized in building renovations and attic conversions. Connecting cultures and communicating through architecture are central to her work: she teaches architectural styles, building theory and construction, writes for FORUM (Belgrade), and lectures on Western Balkan architectural history at IDM (Vienna) and the M. Schütte-Lihotzky Center. Her exhibition on attic conversions is showcased at BINA (Belgrade). As a GA, she brings Belgrade’s diverse architecture and urban development in depth through direct engagement.

Destination:
Belgrade

Belgrade is a dynamic city with a rich artistic and cultural scene and vibrant nightlife. Nestled in a breathtaking landscape at the confluence of the Sava and Danube—an area that has attracted settlement since Neolithic times—it is a city interwoven with tree-lined streets and leisure zones along its riverbanks. The city fascinates with its diversity and its many intertwined identities. Here, one can witness its dramatic transformation from a provincial Ottoman border town, through its merging with the Austro-Hungarian town of Zemun via the development of floodplains, into the capital of multiethnic Yugoslavia, and finally the capital of Serbia.
