Frankfurt am Main

Even as a child, I was fascinated by building floor plans. Born in Gießen, I studied architecture in the 1980s at the Technical University of Darmstadt. After starting my career in Munich, I worked for 11 years in the Netherlands, among others at Mecanoo and Erick van Egeraat. At the same time, I began architecture guiding there. After returning to my home region, the Rhine-Main area, in 2004, I founded my first tour agency in 2005, marking the beginning of my professional work as an architectural tour guide—a role I continue to pursue with great joy and dedication.

Frankfurt am Main

A small big city with a global presence! Every visitor is greeted in Frankfurt by its unique skyline, composed of the skyscrapers of the European Central Bank, the major German financial institutions, and many nationally and internationally influential companies. In line with this, the International High-Rise Award is also presented here every two years. Beyond being a financial and economic center, the city also strives for a leading role in energy-efficient and sustainable construction. Frankfurt is home to many renowned museums and cultural institutions, not least the German Architecture Museum (DAM). In the city of Frankfurt as well as its surroundings, “frankfurts führende architekten” offers both architectural tours with background information and architectural theory for professional visitors, as well as the somewhat different “Architektour” to complement a business visit or architectural walks for everyone.

Our offerings include hourly tours as well as the organization of excursions or weekend trips. Just ask! Welcome to this versatile city, welcome to the Rhine-Main region with its diverse modern architecture.
