Tour in Bilbao:
The Guggenheim Museum and the Abandoibarra area

The most prestigious part of Bilbao's city centre is the new Abandoibarra district, which was designed by a number of renowned architects. This long, narrow district along the river was transformed from an industrial port and industrial area with large infrastructure facilities into a new residential and working area according to Cesar Pelli's master plan. The Congress Palace and the new Euskalduna Opera House, as well as the Guggenheim Museum at the other end of the city, are new highlights in the city's cultural and tourist offerings. Our tour touches on various topics – from the urban development master plan to the old and new relationship between the city and the river, the importance of new bridges for a city, old and newly added green spaces, and the provision of new leisure activities for residents.
