A GLOBAL NETWORK
Guiding Architects is an international association, based in Zurich. Founded in 1996, the network grew organically and informally, before becoming an official entity in 2004. The members of Guiding Architects currently offer specialised tours in 42 cities across 22 countries.

EXPLORE THE CITY WITH AN ARCHITECT
Our tours are hosted by independent local architects who are passionate about their cities. Each local company offers their own specialised itineraries that capture key sites, in addition to creating unique customised tours tailored to any area of interest.

BEYOND TOURS
Our member companies in each city also create full day or multi-day programmes, taking care of transportation, accommodation and restaurant reservations. In addition to architecture tours, we also hold lectures, publish texts and organise workshops and symposia.

HAPPY CLIENTS

“Exceeded my expectations. The guide was very knowledgeable, approachable, accomodating. I am now fascinated by the subject matter of ottoman and byzantine mosques.”
Lance Stone (Istanbul, June 2015)
“The participants were blown away. They had never experienced such a good architecture tour before!”
Edward Lifson, The Pritzker Prize (Amsterdam, June 2014)
“Just a little note to say thank you for your services. (…) We’ve all learned a lot about Berlin and about architectural theory and history, we’ve been well looked after and feel that a return to Berlin should happen soon.”
SUSANNE WILBERG, ARCHUS ARCHITEKTEN (Berlin, October 2011)
“It was very refreshing to have a tour presented by an architect for architects. In the past, during our previous office trips to many other cities in North America we have tried to find similar tours and we never really found anything like it.”
JEFF CHAPUT, BARRY J. HOBIN & ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS (Madrid, 2014)
“Yet again, the combination of building visits and visits to architecture and design offices in Copenhagen proved a great mix!”
Claudia Epple, erleben! Reisen + Events (Copenhagen, 2014)
“As this was my first architecture tour with GA I was not certain what to expect and was worried that the tour would be too architecturally centred.  This was not the case. Arne did a wonderful job of combining architecturally interesting sites with historical relevant locales, and with city features not readily accessible to the average tourist.”
Dr. Mark Neeser, European Southern Observatory (Budapest, April 2015)
“The selection of projects and their presentation left no question unanswered. Building methods and historical, architectural and social context were all presented in a more than satisfactory manner. Thank you so much!”
Rodolfo Nogales, gna Grimbacher Nogales Architekten (Barcelona, April 2015)
“We had a great time in Amsterdam. The information and presentation materials were excellent. The maps and floor plans gave us insight into the evolution of Amsterdam as well as the designs of the buildings.”
Joseph Ngui (Amsterdam, June 2015)
“The two very good and interesting tours made us understand Prague much better. Very recommendable!”
Ingo Gralka, Bund Deutscher Baumeister (Prague, May 2015)
