Anabel Gelhaar (born 1970 in Hamburg) has lived in Venice since 1991, where she studied architecture and later worked for IUAV studies & projects. Since 2007 she has worked as a freelance architect. She is the author of the book "Architectural Guide Venice: Buildings and Projects after 1950" (DOM publishers, 2014) and a founding member of MOVENICE.

Andy Campbell is an architect and co-founder of Dress for the Weather and has led the studio for over 15 years to become an established and alternative model of architectural practice. His experience includes a number of refurbishments of traditional buildings including conversions.

Andy’s work as an educator has developed alongside his architectural practice and he is a Teaching Fellow with experience of delivering studios at several architecture schools. He has also lectured on the work of the practice at schools in the UK, Germany and France.

Anneke Bokern is an architecture journalist and writer based in Amsterdam. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, she studied History of Art and Architecture in Berlin. She moved to the Netherlands in 2000 and has been writing about architecture and urban development for German and international publications including Bauwelt, Baumeister, Topos and DETAIL ever since. She is also the author of several books on Dutch architecture.

Her passion for Dutch building culture led her to found architour in 2004 and co-found the Guiding Architects Network, making her one of the pioneers of professionally guided architecture tours in the Netherlands.

She develops programmes, curates tours, and leads groups in English, German, and Dutch, and continues to write and publish on Dutch architecture.

Annikas passion for communicating building culture has been with her since her first week studying architecture in Weimar, where she specialised in monument preservation and modern architectural history. Annika then joined the education team at the Biennale di Venezia and worked in architectural education at the Neue Nationalgalerie. Annika has been with Ticket B since 2015. She mainly designs and organises our guided tours in Berlin. She is particularly interested in the buildings of the International Building Exhibition in Kreuzberg, Berlin brutalism and urban planning perspectives on her old home of Neukölln. She has ensured that Schillerkiez and the Kindl Brewery, John Hejduk and a hidden concrete church are now also part of the Ticket B repertoire.

Barbara Petri, born in Rheinhausen (Germany). Studied architecture at RWTH Aachen with a diploma under Gottfried Böhm with an exchange year at ETH Zurich under Giancarlo Durisch. 2 years of office work at OM Ungers in Frankfurt. From 1982 worked as an architect in Zurich and St. Gallen. Shared office with Markus Schaefle from 1985 to 1988. 12 years as a teaching assistant in design and construction at the ETHZ with Prof. Herbert Kramel, 10 years as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Stuttgart and 5 years as a lecturer at the Zurich University of Technology ZHAW. Partner and guide at ARCHiTOUR since 2005.

Bernd Nitsch arrived in Bilbao in 2004. The first years he has been working at IMB architects on several projects of important public buildings in Bilbao. He also got involved in urban projects that IMB was realizing for Bilbao Ria. In 2006 he was asked to do his first architecture tour and this was the beginning of the still ongoing story of Guiding Architects Bilbao.

Today he is founder and director of GA BILBAO, organizing and offering with his team of selected architects guided architectural tours across Bilbao, the Basque Country and the northern wine areas of Spain.

Berta Urgel was born in Spain and, after earning her degree in Architecture, lived in several cities, including Florence, Barcelona, and Amsterdam. Since 2010, she has been based in Lausanne, where she has contributed to various Swiss architectural firms such as Architram SA and Itten Brechbühl. Driven by her passion for architecture and travel, she founded a-tours lakegeneva in 2022. Currently, she is pursuing a MAS in Heritage Conservation at the University of Geneva while working as an architect for the Chemins de fer fédéraux suisses (CFF).

Bettina Johae (Dipl.-Ing. Architecture / MA Studio Art) studied architecture at the Technical University of Berlin and the IIT in Chicago, and art at New York University and the International Center of Photography.
She is the co-founder and director of aplusnyc – Architecture and Art Tours in New York City and has been a member of the Guiding Architects Network since 2010.
Her internationally exhibited work examines how cities are perceived and transformed, with a primary focus on New York. Alongside her urban research, she is engaged in sustainable design and passive house renovations.

Boris Strzelczyk was born in southern Germany and, at the age of one, moved with his family to a small coastal town in Spain, where he grew up by the Mediterranean Sea. Boris studied architecture at the ETSAM in Madrid and began his professional training in the field that had always interested him.

He returned in 2006 to his adopted city of Valencia, where he founded GA Valencia. He currently runs his own architecture studio and designs and conducts tours. His interests focus on the culture, sociology, history and urban development that have shaped Valencia into a dynamic city that remains relatively undiscovered by many.

Carlo is Professor of Architectural and Urban Composition at the University of Pavia where he is also director of AUDe Architecture and Urban Design Lab. President of AIM - Association for Metropolitan Interests, working to promote contemporary architecture in Milan. He has organized and coordinated meetings, seminars, workshops and exhibitions about architecture. He is author of “Milan, Architectural Guide” for Dom Publishers and of numerous essays and monographs on issues related to the architecture of Milan and its metropolitan area.

Catherine is an architect and curator and researcher for various cultural institutions. She has worked in France for the World Heritage Centre of UNESCO, and in the United States for the SFMOMA and the California College of Arts. For five years, she was a curator at the Pavillon de l’Arsenal, the city architecture center of Paris. She holds a MA in Cultural Heritage Studies from the University College London, as well as an engineering degree in architecture from the RWTH in Aachen, Germany and is a „Guide conférencière des Monuments de France“. She speaks fluent French, English and German.

Claudia has more than 18 years of professional experience as an architect, urban planner and architecture journalist, gained in Munich, the Netherlands and Canada. As an active member of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects and the Deutscher Werkbund Bayern e.V., she is deeply committed to promoting architecture and building culture.

Claudia has been managing director of ga-munich since 2014 and specialises in communicating architecture and building culture in Munich. In this role, she designs and implements specialist programmes, curates and moderates architectural tours, events and citizen workshops. She also works closely with various departments of the City of Munich to successfully implement urban initiatives.

Clemens F. Kusch (born in 1963 in Rome) lives in Venice. He studied architecture at the University of Venice, where he received his PhD and taught since 1982 as visiting professor. Since his studies he has been active in the framework of German-Italian relations in architecture operating as contact architect for German offices as gmp – von Gerkan, Marg und Partner, the curators of the Venice Biennale as well as a correspondent for magazines. From 2009-2015 he coordinated the German-Italian joint project for the reconstruction of the Humboldt-Forum. He is author of the book “Architectural Guide Venice. Buildings and Projects after 1950 “, DOM publishers, 2014 and founding member of MOVEnice.

Cristiana Chiorino is an architect and holds a PhD in the History of Architecture and Urban Planning from the Politecnico di Torino (2005). After graduating from the Politecnico di Torino, she earned a master’s degree in Modern Heritage Conservation at the Geneva Institute of Architecture in Switzerland. From 2005 to 2014, she served as deputy editor of the monthly journal Il Giornale dell’Architettura. She has contributed to major architectural exhibitions, including “Carlo Mollino architetto” (2006), and co-curated the international exhibition “Pier Luigi Nervi. Architecture as Challenge.” Since 2011 she has been a conservation consultant for the Pier Luigi Nervi Project Foundation. She is a member of Docomomo Italia and a founding member of Open House Torino.

Cristina Emília Silva holds a PhD in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Porto (2016), and a degree in Architecture from the University of Coimbra (1999). Since 2006, she has co-authored projects at bau.uau arquitectura. A guest assistant professor and researcher at the Faculty of Architecture, she is the author of International Dissemination of Portuguese Architecture 1976–1988 and several articles. She also coordinates APJAR – Associação Pró-Arquitectura João Álvaro Rocha. Her work includes archiving, curating, editing and organising events on architecture. In 2004, she co-founded cultour, where much of this practice took shape.

Trained in France, Hungary, the Netherlands and Slovenia, David Vernet established his architectural practice bandapar in both Paris and Bordeaux. His career spans teaching, guiding contemporary architecture tours, lobbying European institutions, curating exhibitions, authoring publications, and mediation. From 2007 to 2011, he served as Head of Secretariat for the European Forum for Architectural Policies (EFAP), an international network promoting architecture among European decision-makers, including the Commission, Parliament, and Committee of the Regions. He organized conferences on cultural industries and the future of cities.

David has taught at Delft Technical University, where he edited Boutiques and Other Retail Spaces: The Architecture of Seduction (Routledge) and contributed to journals like Kontrast and a10. Currently teaching in Bordeaux, he is also an elected member of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Chamber of Architects.

His work focuses on architectural design, restoration of heritage buildings, and urban planning. He has led and participated in projects and seminars in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Switzerland, and Hungary.

He has organized conferences and exhibitions on Latin American architecture in collaboration with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETH). He has worked with communities on research and heritage valorization projects, using collaborative methodologies across diverse cultural and territorial contexts.

Architect from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (1999). Since 2000, she has been working in Andalusia and has participated in numerous heritage intervention projects, both on her own and in collaboration with other local architecture studios. Between 2003 and 2004, she worked at the Botanical-Historical Garden in Malaga, designing and building part of its new facilities. Since 2010, she has been involved in activities to promote architecture, urban planning and heritage, collaborating with various local public and private initiatives and institutions, giving talks and curating exhibitions and activities related to local urban planning. Since 2016, she has been conducting architecture tours in Andalusia in Spanish, English and German.

Eoghan Lewis is founder of the Sydney Architecture Walks and director of Eoghan Lewis Architects.

The SAW tours operate in parallel to practice – a kind of iterative, quasi-research project as well as an opportunity to share things he’s passionate about with the design-curious public. He reckons cities are society’s greatest cultural expression and a city’s architecture is there to be clambered over and talked (walked) about.

Born in Vienna, she studied architecture in Graz, Naples and Vienna and started to work as a freelancer in architects’ offices. 1997-2012 she curated and organized events on architecture (among others,"Architekturtage Wien-Bratislava"), 2010 she co-edited the guidebook "Architekturplan Wien". Since 2006 she is active as "guiding architect", since 2012 she is a partner and since 2020 the owner of Architectural Tours Vienna, leading a team of freelance "guiding architects".

Felicitas is enthusiastic about the diversity and everyday quality of architecture, also beyond star architecture. With her training as a licensed tour guide, she deepened her expertise on Vienna and, motivated by demand, she is expanding the range of tours with topics such as urban development, housing policy, and sustainable building.

Promoting Bratislava, Vienna's often underestimated twin city, is a long-term project of Architectural Tours Vienna. Felicitas became a true “Bratislover” and built up a passionate team of Slovakian “guiding architects.”

Flavia’s life has unfolded between stunning examples of contemporary architecture in Rome and Munich. She spent her early childhood in Rome, in a 1930s residential block and grew up in the shadow of Mario Ridolfi’s rationalist post office, a daily reminder of architecture’s quiet beauty. Her architectural education took place between Richard Meier’s Ara Pacis Museum and Stephan Braunfels’ Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich.

Flavia holds a PhD in architectural history and museography, earned at the Technische Universität München. Today, she shares her passion for the built environment through curated walking tours that invite visitors to discover a Rome beyond the postcard.

His work focuses on architecture as a cultural, political, and economic expression of society. He has taught at ETH Zurich, La Salle Barcelona, HafenCity University in Hamburg, and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

Author of academic publications on the architecture of Barcelona, he has led research projects on urban interfaces in Switzerland and in collaboration with the Technological University of Havana in Cuba.

João Paulo Correia, graduated in Industrial Engineering and Management in 1995. His professional work focuses on planning and managing municipal and metropolitan investment projects. He completed an MBA in Business Management at IEP and ESADE in 2001. He has collaborated in multidisciplinary teams developing urban and regional plans and regularly participates in institutional forums related to tourism. In 2004, together with Cristina Emília Silva and Maria da Conceição Melo, he founded the company Cultour.

Before Kora returned to her hometown Berlin and specialised as an architect in residential and timber construction, she worked for Jean Nouvel in Barcelona. She then switched from planning to architectural communication and, with her talent for languages and organisation, is perfectly suited to her role at Ticket-B headquarters. She has been part of the team since 2016 and is primarily responsible for our architecture travels. This allows her to fully indulge her her passion for travelling, which is also her great passion in her private life! Kora loves to lead tours and trips on the topic of sustainability and lets groups discover the ‘Lichtenberg south coast’ along Rummelsburger Bucht – because that is her home base.

Laura Milan, born in 1975, is an architect with a PhD in Architectural and Urban History from the Politecnico di Torino. She graduated in 2001 and is a member of the Turin Chamber of Architects. Since 2002 she has served on the editorial board of Il Giornale dell’Architettura and has written for several specialized journals. She has developed deep expertise on Carlo Mollino’s archive through major exhibitions and collaborations. She has also worked with the Turin Chamber of Commerce and served on juries for the Architects’ Association. She is a founding member of Open House Torino since its official launch.

Born in Vienna with Italian and Hungarian roots, Lorenzo is an architecture communicator, architect, and architectural photographer based in Barcelona since 2009. He studied architecture at the Technical University of Vienna and ETSAB in Barcelona, and collaborated with Austrian and Catalan studios on projects in rehabilitation, landscape, and urban planning.

Since 2013, he has directed Guiding Architects Barcelona, organizing architecture tours, courses, and lectures. He also curates exhibitions, writes about Barcelona’s architectural culture, and collaborates with universities, public administrations, and cultural institutions. Lorenzo serves on the board of ARQUIN-FAD (Interdisciplinary Association of Space Design) and the Guiding Architects network.

Maria da Conceição Melo graduated in Architecture from the School of Fine Arts, University of Porto, in 1984, studying under Fernando Távora, Álvaro Siza and other Key figures of the Porto School. She holds a master’s degree from the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering of the University of Porto (1995) and works in planning and urban design. She was a visiting professor at the University of Minho’s School of Architecture. She served as President of the Northern Regional Section of the Order of Architects (2020–2023). In 2004 Melo co-founded cultour.

Even as a child, I was fascinated by building floor plans. Born in Gießen, I studied architecture in the 1980s at the Technical University of Darmstadt. After starting my career in Munich, I worked for 11 years in the Netherlands, among others at Mecanoo and Erick van Egeraat. At the same time, I began architecture guiding there. After returning to my home region, the Rhine-Main area, in 2004, I founded my first tour agency in 2005, marking the beginning of my professional work as an architectural tour guide—a role I continue to pursue with great joy and dedication.

Paul is an experienced architect and lecturer. Born in Utrecht, the Netherlands, he graduated from TU Delft with an honours degree in Architecture in 1995.

In the years that followed, Paul worked for several Dutch architecture firms, contributing to projects in urban extensions and renewal areas. His work has consistently focused on housing and urban planning.

Since 2018, Paul has been a partner at architour. He develops and organises programmes and leads tours in English, Dutch and German. He also teaches at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture.
